How Planning Works · Maroon Hill Estate
Start Here

You’re Booked. Here’s What Happens Next.

Everything between today and your wedding day, in five steps. It’s less than you’d think.

Congratulations, and welcome to Maroon Hill. The hard part is done: you’ve found your venue and locked in your date.

From here, you’re building your day your way. You choose the people, the food, the music and the style. You don’t have to sort out the venue side: the estate, the furniture and the behind-the-scenes essentials are already in place, so your planning is mostly about choosing the things you love.

Five Steps to Your Wedding Day

At your own pace. Nothing is due all at once, and we’re a call or an email away the whole time.

  1. First

    Find your vibe

How you host dinner shapes your whole wedding: the feel of the night, your timeline, even who you book. So start here. Pick the one that feels like you:

  2. Next

    Shape your timeline

Find your sunset time, then work back from there. Golden hour is the best part of the day up here, so build everything around it:

  3. Early on

    Book your main vendors

With your vibe and timeline in mind, book the people who make the day: your food, your drinks, your celebrant and your photographer. Booking early gives you the best choice. Our recommended vendors list shows who works here, what they offer and, for most caterers and bars, indicative pricing with travel to the estate included.

  4. Over the following months

    Add your flair

This is where it becomes yours. Hired furniture, styling and florals, entertainment, hair and makeup: as much or as little as you like. Some couples go all out. Others keep it simple and let the mountains do the rest. Both work beautifully here.

  5. The final weeks

    Put a bow on it

Finalise your timeline, confirm your guest list and seating plan, and confirm set-up and pack-down times with your vendors where needed. About six weeks out we’ll be in touch about your furniture set-up, and your indoor reception is set up to your floor plan before you arrive. Any questions along the way, just ask the Maroon Hill team.

Your Budget, Your Call

Because you choose your own vendors, you decide where the money goes. Two very different weddings, same estate.

Keeping it simple

Relaxed and personal
  • Wood-fired pizza or a food truck, from around $45 per person
  • BYO drinks bought at retail prices, poured by an RSA-certified bar service
  • Your own playlist through the venue’s speaker system
  • A few flowers and the view doing the styling
  • The Vignette package, if it’s just you and up to 30 of your favourite people

Going all out

Every detail styled
  • Shared feasts and grazing tables, up to around $135 per person
  • Cocktails and a stylish mobile bar
  • A planner and stylist, florals throughout and live music
  • A long-table dinner under the stars, or a marquee
  • A coordinator running the day from start to finish

Most couples land somewhere in between, spending $25,000 to $80,000 all in. Either way, the planning looks the same: book your people, shape your day, and turn up.
